Globe Theatre Trip

“On Friday 11th November, Year 5 visited Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. We travelled to London by train. When we arrived, we got to enjoy a tour of The Globe Theatre. We saw the inside of the theatre and learnt that the Globe was mostly made of wood. However, many things were painted to look like marble and gold. We also learnt that the theatre had an open roof to let in natural light, as they didn't have electricity. After the tour, we took part in a drama workshop. In the workshop, we acted out a scene from Macbeth (a play written by Shakespeare). We did freeze frames, which were based on the three witches. After that, we went on a nice walk over the Millennium Bridge. It was a very enjoyable trip and we hope to go on an-other one”.
